HOW WE WORK

Every location has a story to tell, most tours have several locations and even more stories!

We turn any subject into an interactive virtual tour by developing a plan to capture the locations  and tell their story through a subjective virtual experience using cutting-edge technology that can be accessed on all computer, tablet, and mobile devices, then augmented with all available interactive content which is placed precisely where it happened or is most relevant.

PROJECT DEVELOPMENT

We will develop a project plan that imagines the perfect vision for the final tour- like where and when to take the Panoramic 360 images along with adding augmented content such as historical and modern photographs, videos, audio clips, maps, and live websites. Every location and shooting scenario is different, but that challenge is why we do this! Let’s digitally preserve your location forever with stunning 360 imagery while building a tool for your customers at the same time!

PANORAMIC 360 PHOTOGRAPHY

With the project plan in place, we will conduct the Panoramic 360 photo shoot to capture the locations. The first step of the shoot is to review the locations (if possible) to create a shooting schedule- taking into account several factors including lighting, time of day, and site availability hours. An evaluation to identify potential augmented content can also be done on-site. Other elements that can be captured include live audio, HD video with interviews or b-roll, and stunning large-format still photographs.

360 IMAGE PROCESSING

When the 360 imagery has been photographed and is “in the can”, it will be processed and composited into stunning razor sharp Panoramic 360’s for use within the virtual tour. The newly minted 360 images will be incorporated into the Tour Layout Beta so a working version is available to preview.

TOUR LAYOUT BETA

While the 360 imagery is being composited, we will be working on a parallel track on the Tour Layout Beta to organize the locations within the tour. This involves naming them, putting them in the correct order, creating descriptions for each, and identifying physical objects or historical elements that could be used as augmented content. The Tour Layout Beta provides a way to ensure all the information in the tour is correct and approved.

ADD THE AUGMENTED CONTENT

Starting with a 360 degree image that is razor-sharp and gives you the ability to see in all directions from a first-hand perspective, the use of augmented collateral allows you to place content within the virtual space precisely where it occurred or where it would be considered most relevant. This provides a subjective interpretive experience rich with information from the past that’s often said to be second only to visiting in person. This allows a location to tell many stories and brings the past or present to life!

FINAL STYLING AND DELIVERY

The final tour will be compatible with computers, tablets, and mobile devices natively through any browser using html5. The project files will be delivered to you via ftp to be uploaded directly to your website. Still imagery can also be derived from the Panoramic 360 images!
